Part 2 –  Data Sources .
Create import blocks and bring data onto your canvas by selecting   Data Sources  > New Source and following the prompts for each data type.

You can import multiple Google Analytics queries

along with multiple files and database connections onto a single canvas.
You can connect to it securely to  your data base, whether it is in the cloud or behind a corporate firewall.
Part 3 – Blocks and  Connector s.
Queries, calculations and  transformation s are done using data blocks that are placed on the main canvas.
They are connected together through the use of input and output stubs, defined by their location on the block.
Input stubs are at the top and on the left side of a block.
Output stubs are on the right and bottom sides of a data block.
To connect blocks together, simply click on and output stub and drag it to an input stub.
Generally speaking, blocks that allow multiple inputs have multiple input stubs.
Such blocks include Combine Blocks and Join Blocks.
There’s no limit to the number of outputs from a given block, simply click on the output stub and drag it to the next input.

Part 4 – Formulas and Functions

If you are used to writing your analysis in Excel, .

You’ll find the same types of calculations available in Analytics Canvas
If you’re used to using databases and connecting through SQL to create joins

segment data and perform calculations, you can write your function OR use the visual interface to avoid writing lines of code.
